The East Wind Design Team BadgeToday The East Wind is releasing this amazing mermaid.  It was so much fun to color, work with, and to imagine her under the water resting with/under…something.

Then I found a great image of a sea anemone!

I traced the shell on her head and turned that shape into the card, via Silhouette Studio.

Details:

  1. Card Base:  Created as described above, generally A2, cut from light peach Bazzill card stock, distressed with Distress Ink – Glass.
  2. First Layer: An underwater image.
  3. Sea Anemone:  Graphics Fairy, printed and cut twice for the second the cnidocytes were hand cut), sprayed with Glimmer Mist – Dragonfly.
  4. Image:  The East Wind – Mermaid, colored with Copics and glitter pens, sequins.
