Typically we have blueberry pancakes for Sunday breakfast a few times a month.  I like change, Edward doesn’t.  I couldn’t face blueberry pancakes again!  Crepes seemed both new and pancake-esque.

I used this recipe from Sally’s Baking Addiction for the crepes.  I love her recipes, her website and All Recipes are the first places I look for recipes.  I heated up the blueberries and added some sugar.

I used half and half for the crepes.  It doesn’t whip well.  So, I went looking for what I might be able to make with it.  Turns out it is perfect for creme anglaise.   I had never made this before, but there was nothing to lose!  It only had a few basic ingredients, which I already had.  Worst case?  I pretend I never made it!  Turns out it was easy and tasted fabulous.  I even have a little leftover.

Putting the crepes, blueberries, and creme anglaise together made for a great breakfast.

As it happens I have the most incredible cookware, Serafino Zani.  It was purchased for me on clearance with a discount several decades ago.  And, I have crepe pan!  It worked beautifully.  I have a vague memory of making crepes 20+ years ago, the pan worked just as well as I remembered.
