This was my first mixed media piece.  I didn’t love it…but, it was good enough and the best I could do at the time.  I made it for Mom and she loved it…of course!

I have been to her several times and recently I have been thinking that I could do better.  On the most recent trip, I told Mom that I wanted to take it and try again.  Here is the redux!  It is better…but, still I need more experience to make it better.  Perhaps there will be another version of this in the future. 🙂

To start, I took off the butterfly and painted what was there with ivory crafter’s paint, gesso, and I put on a printed napkin (which is completely covered!).

I cannot really go through all the steps of making this…if I even remembered.  I will just do a list of goodies that were used.
