April Release Blog Hop So Suzy Stamps Craftisan Studios Kim Rippere

There is a $15 So Suzy Stamps gift certificate to a random person that comments on all the blogs in the hop!

You should have arrived here from Sharon Smith’s blog.  Partial Blog Hop order:

My guy’s birthday was just a few days ago!  I got him something he wants, but just cannot seem to actually purchase.  Inside this box is a subscription to Harry’s for razors.

I am really in love with these colors right now.  They seem like early spring.

Details:

  1. Wrapping Paper:  Plain brown wrapping paper, cut to size.  I rolled it backwards to get some of the curl out and weighted the edges so that I could stamp.
  2. Stamp:  Leaf from So Suzy Stamps.  This was stamped randomly all over the wrapping paper with every green and brown ink I have (!):  Distress Ink – Paint, Shutters, Olive, Corduroy, and Walnut.
  3. Spraying:  There is a little Glimmer Mist – Mantis.
  4. Tag:  This is atc size, with a base made form product packaging.  The first layer is patterned paper, stamped with the leaf stamp using DI – olive.  I stamped (on wrapping paper) and cut out one leaf that I adhered only on the center ridge to create dimension.  I set an eyelet and used this for the ribbon to attach the tag.  The To/From are Unity stamps, inked with DI – Soot.  The edges were colored with DI – Olive.
  5. Ribbon:  Chartruese green fabric ribbon, orche raffia ribbon, and tan curling ribbon.

  1. What an innovative way to use these pretty new leaves! Gorgeous wrapping paper, and the gift you’ve given your guy is clever! Need to keep that in mind when my husband’s birthday rolls around! Marvelous showcase!

  2. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PACKAGE! Love the leaves on the brown paper! Makes me think of Sound of Music! “Brown paper packages tied up with string, these are a few of my favorite things”….ok, done singing! Great job, Kim!

  3. Really very creative!! I love it!! Great idea “thinking outside the box” 🙂

  4. I’ve been re-organizing the craft room and had some white wrapping paper that I was going to put in the “recycle” bin. My granddaughter took it out and put it back – saying it could be stamped on and used for presents. I wasn’t thrilled about the idea but after seeing your paper I can see where she had a good idea.
Thanks for the push to embelish my own paper.

  5. Your gift is so pretty. I love the leaves on it and your tag. Great idea to decorate a present this way. Thanks for sharing. Edwina Brown
