This project was for Craft Your Passion Challenges – Always Anything Goes.
When I was thinking about this image and how to showcase it…I realized that there was a great space in the front to say something. What about using it to write a name? How to make it stand up and be a place card? Having just returned from storm-central (New England), this seemed like a great reminder that Spring is coming!
This would be a great place to use chalkboard paint…I didn’t have any on hand though.
- First Layer: 3×3 (approx.), orange card stock. The edges of the paper was distressed with Walnut Stain. I also stamped a background stamp with Walnut Stain. I used a stamp that has small dots and lines that would give the feel of the pits in a terra cotta pot.
- Image: Chibi flowerpot peeker from Bugaboo Digi Stamps. Colored with Copics, Copics Spica pens. I also added some random bridal flowers to give interest and dimension – highlighted with light yellow Copic. I wrote my name with a white Uniball pen. I also colored the edge with Y18.
- Stand: I created an attached paper stand in the back after some google research.
