I had so much working with this image from Sailing Pineapple! The challenge was to use newsprint or words. I was trained in visual merchandising that all elements of the scene had to make sense…no geese in a tropical setting! So, I worked to ensure that the words would make sense from a thematic standpoint. I think the words on the paper help give the “pearls” and old fashion feel that plays off the image.
- Card Base: Medium Yellow card stock, A2. Opposite corners chomped.
- First Layer: Paper House Retro Kitchen. Opposite corners chomped.
- Image: A Pearl For M.E. Cling Mounted Rubber Stamp, colored with Copic markers. The layer under this medium red card stock. Chomped on opposite corners.
- Pearl Necklace: Cut from DCWV Once Upon a Time, using a modified Silhouette file. There are three matte dots to mimic pearls and a ribbon at the top to further mimic an old-fashioned pearl necklace closure.
