One of the things I love about card making is the ability to make cards that suit people perfectly. I was going through my “stuff” and came upon the background image on this card and immediately thought about someone. I knew that I needed to make a card out of the first layer for her. She is amazing, in college, studying evolutionary biology and wants to work in museums…and she is an illustrator!
- Card Base: Silver paper, to mimic a lab tray. This is an odd shape since I wanted to cut the background piece as little as possible.
- First Layer: Something I purchased in a random packet of ephemera. Edges distress with walnut stain.
- Frog: this is an image I found on the internet that I turned into a Silhouette print and cut. Outlined in gold marker.
